As I write this letter, I am preparing to depart to our cottage in France surrounded by uncertainties of whether France will impose a reciprocal lock down and so cancelling our visit.
The past few months have seen massive uncertainty and many in our community are suffering with insecurity in job, home, and wellbeing, and put concerns over a holiday into perspective.
I do not know if you regard yourself as a glass half full, or a glass half empty person; but surely the Christian approach is to remember that the glass by definition is refillable if we find time to go to the one who is the source of our life and being.
Come to me all that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28.
I hope you find refreshment wherever and whatever you are doing this week.
