St Mary’s Church Tickhill is delighted to welcome back our friends at Leeds Brass, Ensemble Strings and the Tickhill Community Choir for a joint Summer Concert on Saturday 29 August starting at 6.00pm.

The programme includes songs from West Side Story, an arrangement of Oh Danny Boy and music by Boccherini for strings and brass pieces by Andrew Paulus, James Swearingen and Pablo Beltranruiz.

Entry is free with a retiring collection.

At St Mary’s Church we are developing a new style of service called ‘Sunday @ 4:00’.  This service is highly informal as we sit, café-style, around tables at the back of the church and watch an audiovisual presentation with refreshments served throughout.

Our next service takes place on Sunday 26 July starting at 4.00pm and lasting around 30 minutes.   It is open to all and particularly to those wishing to explore the Christian faith in a more relaxed informal setting.   No need to search through the wardrobe for your Sunday Best clothes…just come as you are.

St Mary’s branch of MU is joining many other branches around the country taking part in their church services on Sunday 12 July.

We are a very friendly bunch and everyone will be most welcome at one of our services (or both) – not all MU members are mothers or married or even women!

Why not join us for our Morning Service followed by a piece of birthday cake, or for our Celtic Evening Prayer service to be followed by a glass of wine and some cheese.
